The Laughing Cabin uses Shopify to host its products and as an e-commerce shopping cart. This allows you the convenience of paying with your choice of credit card, debit card or PayPal account through Shopify’s secure payment portal. You do not have to have a Shopify or PayPal account to make a purchase through our shopping cart. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you need assistance placing an order.
Your payment information is handled by Shopify, and The Laughing Cabin does not have access to that information, to ensure your privacy. We do have access to your name and address for shipping purposes only. This information is never shared or sold for any reason, and we do not solicit our customers through direct contact unless they have voluntarily chosen to subscribe to our e-newsletter.
NEED MORE TIME TO PAY?
PayPal provides a deferred payment program called PayPal Credit which will allow you to make purchases up to an approved amount and take up to 6 months to pay at 0% interest. Special Order items require a minimum $100.00 total purchase before discount coupons, if any, are applied. This $100.00 minimum does not include applicable sales tax or shipping costs.
The minimum ordering requirement allows The Laughing Cabin to be able to competitively offer these items to you at manufacturer suggested retail pricing -- and to be able to pass along sales discounts from the manufacturer as they become available.
If your Special Order purchase does not meet the minimum $100.00 requirement, you will be contacted by e-mail to let you know before processing your order. If you choose to cancel your order, a full refund will be issued according to your method of payment. Special Orders ship within 7-10 business days unless otherwise noted in the item description.
Shipping Overages: All items include flat rate shipping within the U.S. unless otherwise indicated in the item description. Shipping costs are manually adjusted for multiple items shipping to the same address at the time your order is processed. Shipping overages, if any, will be refunded according to your method of payment on the day your order ships.
TLC Original Handmade Items: All ready-to-ship TLC Original handmade items that are purchased from The Laughing Cabin will be processed and shipped within 1-3 business days from the time of purchase.
All TLC Original gourd art pieces will ship Priority Mail through the U.S. Postal Service. Shipping insurance and tracking is provided at no extra cost. You will receive the tracking information by e-mail notification on the day your item ships.
Rustic Home & Cabin Decor: Items including quilts, bedding, lighting, rustic wedding decor, rugs, etc. Items appearing on these pages are processed directly through The Laughing Cabin’s on-line store using Shopify’s secure payment system. Orders will ship within 3-5 business days unless otherwise noted in the item description. Orders will ship via FedEx, USPS or UPS Ground to U.S. addresses only. Flat rate shipping is calculated at check-out. All luxury king, king and queen quilts ship free within the U.S.
Affiliate Items: The Laughing Cabin’s blog and Facebook page contain affiliate links to products that we endorse and recommend. Affiliate links are clearly designated whenever they appear. If you choose to purchase an item using an affiliate link, the seller associated with that link will be responsible for the transaction, customer service, shipping and returns. RETURN & REFUND POLICY
Please contact The Laughing Cabin by e-mail at email@example.com if your order arrives in damaged condition. Please take pictures of the item in its original packaging and keep the original packaging to return along with the item, if you are asked to do so. Send photos of the damaged item as an e-mail attachment. You will receive a response e-mail within 48 hours that will include instructions for where to return your item in order to receive your refund. Each manufacturer has its own specific return instructions, so you will be advised accordingly. Refunds are issued by The Laughing Cabin, according to your method of payment, within 3-5 business days after your returned item is received and confirmed. Refunds will only be issued for shipping damage or manufacturer’s defects. Refund claims must be submitted to The Laughing Cabin by e-mail within 14 days of receipt of your item.
Please note that bedding items will NOT be refunded if they have been laundered before being returned.
No exchanges are accepted for any items purchased from The Laughing Cabin’s on-line store except for bedding items. Please note: Bedding items that are returned for exchange will not be accepted if they have been laundered.
The Laughing Cabin accepts custom orders for handmade items produced at The Laughing Cabin’s workshop.
Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to make arrangements to place your custom order. Your item will be created within 7-10 business days, and a photo(s) will be sent to you by e-mail for visual approval when your item is completed. You will have up to 14 days to approve your item and make payment. (One or two minor changes are included in the cost; significant changes will incur an additional cost.) If the item is not approved and purchased within 14 days, both parties will be released from any further obligation, and the item will be offered for sale to the general public.
All custom orders include shipping insurance at no additional cost.
The commercially manufactured items that are sold in our on-line store are not available for international shipping. The items in our TLC Originals shop can be shipped First Class International to the following countries: New Zealand, Australia, Canada, UK. Please send an e-mail to email@example.com to request pricing for international shipping before placing your order.
